2015 Easter Tidings

Another Easter awaits, and right now I am taking a few minutes quietly drinking coffee and watching the CBS Mirning Show.

I've been a little silent lately as I've figured out what amount of posting is respectful of Rose, who now has a social media presence.

I have decided as long as I don't overly promote the blog, I can continue writing.

The past six months have been, well, winter. We continue to struggle with various behaviors and as parents keep trying to learn how to provide room to grow with enough structure for security. The tight rope of parenting.

Add to this, the sometimes extreme bouts of defiance, which sometimes evoke my natural propensity for my own brand of stubbornness and anger. Sadly, these bouta have twice culminated in violence toward me, and she just recently  tried to run away.

Yet, we weather on, and I keep trying to remember all the progress we have seen, and chant that we will keep seeing that progress.

To keep my mind sane, I have started a new challenge. Since Thanksgiving I committed to running at least a mile every, single, day. This built a new base for me, leading to my finishing a half marathon, my first since August 2013.

Rose was going to attempt a similar streak. That has been all talk because I don't feel it's good to pressure her into running. But she does seem happy to cheer me on.

And today's Easter basket.
